May 2010
Basil Aristotle was named as one of the top-performing annuals grown in ground beds in the 2009 Michigan Sate University Trial Gardens, as reported in GPN Magazine May 2010. The plants were numerically rated based on performance (vigor, size and ornamental impact) every two weeks during the summer from June 25 to Sept. 15th 2009.

" ‘Aristotle’ basil, a Greek Style, small-leafed form from Floranova, performed well the entire summer. Home gardeners can repeatedly harvest the small leaves for spicing up their meals, and the plant will grow back quickly."

Peter
Seabrook unveils new Show House and Trial Garden
30th July 2009
Peter Seabrook MBE formally opened
the new Show House and Trial Garden at the Floranova
and Vegetalis headquarters in Norfolk, UK, on Thursday
23rd July. The event was attended by guests from all
levels of the industry. Mr. Seabrook planted a tree to
mark the completion of the new 1.5 acre trial garden
and cut the ribbon to allow the assembled guests entry
to the new show house.
The new facilities, which have been in development over
the last 15 months, are a great platform for displaying
new genetics from the extensive breeding programmes being
undertaken by Floranova and Vegetalis. They are also testament
to Floranova’s commitment to keep horticultural development
thriving in the UK. They provide valuable space for trials
and will be an instructive tool for growers, distributors
and retailers.
The trial and show house will be open until 21st August
2009. To make an appointment to visit, contact Kate Monaghan
(kmonaghan@vegetalis.co.uk).
